Michelle Kabia Trustee

Michelle is an experienced third-sector leader with a strong background in health and social care, hospice care, and mental health services. She has over 25 years of leadership experience, including as CEO of Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge for 18 years and, more recently, as CEO of ellenor Hospice in North Kent and Farleigh Hospice in Mid Essex. Throughout her career, Michelle has specialised in strategic planning, income generation, governance, and organisational development.

With a background in nursing and an MBA, Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge in delivering high-quality care, leading service transformation, and supporting teams to achieve impact. As a trustee of the Mortimer Society, she is committed to enhancing services for individuals with complex needs and contributing her expertise to the charity’s strategic direction.
